Shams Al-Insaniya Organization for Women and Children participated in the meeting held by Her Excellency the Minister of Environment, Ms. Sarwa Abdulwahid, with the attendance of a distinguished group of heads of environmental civil society organizations and leaders of volunteer teams from various Iraqi governorates and the Kurdistan Region.
During the meeting, the launch of the “Environmental Ambassadors Association” was announced. The initiative aims to enhance environmental awareness and strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Environment, civil society organizations, and volunteer teams, contributing to the promotion of environmental culture and addressing challenges related to water, soil, and air pollution.
Her Excellency the Minister emphasized the importance of the complementary role between governmental institutions and civil society organizations in strengthening environmental monitoring and raising awareness among different segments of society. She noted that environmental protection is a shared responsibility that requires collective efforts and joint action.
