Training Workshop, September 19-21, 2023
Shams Al-Anbar Organization participated in a training workshop on influence, advocacy, and monitoring, held by the Baghdad Women’s Association in partnership with CARE International. The organization is part of the program.
The first day of the workshop included an explanatory presentation and the workshop agenda. Participants learned about leadership, its importance, requirements, and elements. A presentation and discussion were also given on the above. Participants learned about the difference between leadership, management, and negotiation, as well as how to develop and prepare for negotiation skills. The second day included training on advocacy in civil society, presenting illustrative examples of advocacy work levels, coordinating efforts, and how to identify issues and goals, target audiences, and stakeholders. The third day focused on advocacy strategies, including message definition, tactics, and message characteristics.
