The Shams Al-Insaniya Organization for Women and Children held a panel session in the city of Ramadi aimed at linking the project outcomes with the Women, Peace, and Security agenda (Resolution 1325), as part of efforts to strengthen the role of women in peacebuilding and support their active participation in community stability processes.
The session was attended by a number of stakeholders and activists, where discussions highlighted the importance of aligning project outcomes with national and international priorities related to women, in a way that contributes to sustainability and enhances the impact of initiatives on the ground.
Participants also discussed ways to activate women’s role in decision-making and to strengthen partnerships among relevant actors to ensure the effective implementation of recommendations, in line with the requirements of peacebuilding and community reconciliation
