Forum titled “Enhancing Women’s Participation in Peacebuilding and Community Reconciliation”

Shams Al-Insaniya Organization held a forum in the city of Ramadi titled “Enhancing Women’s Participation in Peacebuilding and Community Reconciliation,” in coordination with the Sub-Committee for Countering Violent Extremism, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the role of women in achieving community stability.

The forum witnessed notable participation from representatives of governmental entities and civil society organizations, where discussions focused on the importance of empowering women and ensuring their active engagement in peacebuilding processes, as well as their vital role in countering extremism and promoting social cohesion.

The forum also addressed the key challenges facing women’s participation in this field, while presenting a number of recommendations aimed at supporting women-led initiatives and enhancing women’s presence in decision-making positions, contributing to sustainable peace and genuine community reconciliation.

This forum comes as part of Shams Al-Insaniya Organization’s ongoing activities aimed at promoting a culture of peace and strengthening effective partnerships in a way that serves community issues and enhances stability.
