The Shams Al-Anbar Organization for Women and Children implemented the Prevention and Deterrence Conference initiative as part of the Service Project to Enhance the Economic and Social Resilience of Local Communities to Counter Violent Extremism in Nineveh, Anbar, and Salah al-Din (Service Project) in Anbar Governorate, Ramadi, on Thursday, August 24, 2023, in the S.H. Complex Hall.
This initiative is part of the projects of the Subcommittee for Combating Extremism Leading to Terrorism in Anbar Governorate, which is being implemented by the United Nations Development Program in Iraq in partnership with the World Vision Organization, in cooperation with the Shams Al-Anbar Organization for Women and Children, and with support from the German government. Representatives of international and local organizations, countering violent extremism committees in Anbar Governorate, a select group of intellectuals, representatives of government departments, activists in the governorate, and partner organizations that have implemented community initiatives in Anbar Governorate as part of the Service Project, including the Saqia Organization and the Shaqovian Organization for Development and Culture, participated and attended.
