As part of the initiative “Empowering Women Leaders in Civil Society Organizations Working in the Field of Women’s Rights,” Shams
Al-insaniya Organization for Women and Children, with the support of CARE Iraq, carried out the first activity of the initiative through a training workshop titled “Women Leaders for Change.”
The workshop targeted 10 women activists and civil society workers, focusing on enhancing their leadership skills through several key themes, including: learning about models of women leaders, the secrets of effective communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, the foundations of effective teamwork, in addition to inspiring success stories of women who were able to make a difference in their communities.
The workshop provided participants with an opportunity to exchange experiences, build capacities that enable them to face challenges, and strengthen their role as leaders capable of creating positive change within society.
