Shams Al-Insaniya Organization for Women and Children implemented a training workshop in Salah Al-Din Governorate as part of an advocacy campaign to amend paragraph (Second) of Article 46 of the Personal Status Law – Legal Mediation Initiative. The workshop brought together 20 male and female lawyers from various judicial institutions and civil society organizations. Over the course of three days, the sessions focused on analyzing the legal text on khul‘ (mutual divorce), building advocacy skills, and promoting mediation as an alternative mechanism for resolving family disputes. The workshop witnessed rich discussions and high participant engagement, concluding with practical recommendations aimed at enhancing justice and protecting women’s rights.
