As part of the project “Enhancing Women’s Leadership in Civil Society Organizations Working on Women’s Rights,” Shams Al-insaniya Organization for Women and Children, with the support of CARE International, organized on August 10, 2025, a dialogue session that brought together women leaders and stakeholders in Al-Anbar Governorate.
The session included extensive discussions on several key themes, most notably:
🔹 The individual challenges and difficulties women and young women face when applying for jobs.
🔹 The institutional barriers limiting women’s opportunities for participation in society.
🔹 Civil and political partnership and the role of women in decision-making positions.
🔹 Showcasing inspiring success stories and practical experiences of women who managed to overcome obstacles.
At the conclusion of the session, participants agreed on practical recommendations to broaden women’s participation, in addition to working on drafting a proposed policy paper that reflects the key points raised during the dialogue.
