Women and Peace Project (Enhancing Women’s Leadership in Confronting Environmental and Community Challenges)
Shams Al-Anbar Organization implemented a four-day training workshop on women’s leadership skills as part of the Women’s Leadership Strengthening Project, held on January 12, 13, 14, and 15, 2025. Shams Al-Anbar organized a capacity-building training on building women’s confidence and leadership through a training of trainers on strengthening human resource capacities in the areas of community participation and effective communication with stakeholders in Anbar Governorate.
The objective is to:
Strengthen women’s leadership: Empower women to lead in their communities.
Capacity building: Develop participants’ skills in the areas of community participation and effective communication.
Activate participation: Encourage women to actively participate in solving environmental and community challenges.
Form a network of women leaders: Build relationships and networks among participants to foster cooperation and mutual support.
This training contributes to empowering women to face challenges and achieve positive change in their communities.
This activity is part of the Women and Peace project in partnership with Women for Women of the World and generously funded by the UK’s International Support Fund.
